Both the Porto da Lua Inn and the former “Pousada Praia do Forte” were built by the famous architect Wilson Reis Netto, from Rio de Janeiro, a specialist in tropical architecture, who was part of Oscar Niemeyer's team and was elected successor to the famous architect “Le Corbusier” at the Academy of Architecture at the Sorbonne University in Paris. The inn was completely renovated in 2009, and offers, in addition to charm, modern comfort, while maintaining its tropical characteristics that distinguish it so much. The inn is located 80 km north of Salvador-Bahia, one hour from Salvador Bahia airport, Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães Airport. The old Pousada Praia do Forte, also known as Hotel Praia do Forte, was the first inn in Praia do Forte. In 1996, Pousada Praia do Forte was transformed into a condominium called Vivendas do Farol, with 50 apartments.
